Good governance is built on honest self-reflection — the willingness to look clearly at how a board and its leadership are actually functioning, not just how they appear on paper. This tool draws from widely respected governance frameworks to help you think carefully about performance across eight essential dimensions.

The assessment takes roughly 20–30 minutes. Each question uses a 5-point scale, and many include a reflection prompt designed to move you beyond surface-level answers. Your individual responses remain confidential — the results will be used in aggregate to surface patterns, celebrate strengths, and identify where focused attention will make the biggest difference.
